UT Acquires high resolution LIDAR data over the Lower Texas Coast and Bentsen State Park in the Rio Grande Valley.

September 18, 1999
CSR Participated in the 1999 AIG/Hyvista HymapGroup.  Hyperspectral data were acquired in the Rio Grande Valley, Padre Island, and Bolivar Peninsula, Texas.

The image is a RGB true color composite acquired by the Hymap sensor on September 18, 1999. The image is near the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge on the South Texas coast. The Resaca system, common in the Rio Grande Delta, can be seen winding its way through the estuarine marsh, which served as a battlefield training facility for the U.S. Army during WWII.
