The Center for Space Research, Bureau of Economic Geology, and the Texas Regional Change Program sponsored a massive data acquisition project covering sensitive areas along the Texas coast. High resolution synthetic aperture radar (AIRSAR) imagery was acquired in 1995 and high resolution optical (CAMS) and synthetic aperture radar imagery were acquired in 1996. In addition to the radar imagery, TOPSAR was also flown in an effort to demonstrate the improved topographic mapping capablilties of digital data.
