Areas of Interest

Dr. Fowler's areas of interest are in dynamics, orbital mechanics, flight mechanics, spacecraft design and mission planning, and aircraft flight testing. His current activities focus on spacecraft and mission design research for lunar and interplanetary exploration and settlement.

In 1981-82 he served as Distinguished Visiting Professor in Astronautics and Computer Science at the Air Force Academy and spent fall 1976 on the staff of the Air Force Test Pilot School. He has spent10 summers working with NASA and associated contractors in Houston.
