Professor, Aerospace Engineering

Research Interests

Dr. Duncombe's research interests are in the areas of orbital mechanics, motions and masses of bodies in the solar system, fundamental reference frame, and astrometry. His current research, as a member of the Hubble Space Telescope Astrometry Team, involves observations to tie the reference catalog of the European Space Satellite (HIPPARCOS) to extra-galactic objects and to develop a dynamical reference system based on the motions of a set of minor planets.
