Research Interests

Dr. Crawford's research interests include image processing, satellite remote sensing, adaptive estimation, and feature tracking. She is also working in sponsored research classification of screw worm habitat in Panama using satellite remote sensing data; disturbance, spatial heterogeneity and biotic diversity in arid Australia; applications of satellite remote sensing in monitoring surface phenomena and circulation in the Gulf of Mexico for emergency response to oil spills; and fusion of data from multiple satellite sensors into numerical climate models.
